Never ever thought about but it goes all with a lightning speed,the new Chrome OS Google has just posted the source code for Chrome OS on the Chromium site.

As seen in the file structure,google is doing the same thing it does with Chrome, which is based off of Chromium, the open-source component. So yes, it appears as  there is something called Chromium OS, which is the open-source version of what will become Chrome OS.
