If  Installing Windows 7 is on your Mind just becauseof its attractive looks,then  you dont have to do it now. Amit Agrawal’s  Digital Insipiration evaluates how to get the Windows7 looks to your older version of  Windows. You can’t just grab the files from Windows 7′s themes gallery and set them as your own.

Or use tools like 7-Zip and John’s Background Switcher to pull out each theme pack’s files, install them, set them to rotate (a la Windows 7), and even get the sounds, cursors, and other elements running.

So,its  not a big deal to work on it,but more then a normal installation but far better then screwing your old version of Windows.
